Some scientists have speculated that Albertosaurus' diminished arm size was due to the need to balance the weight from its enormous jaw muscles.

Albertosaurus is a Tyrannosauroid, but of a different genus than its better known cousin, Rex.

Albertosaurus derives its name from the site where it was discovered in 1884 - Horseshoe Canyon in Alberta, Canada.

The Albertosaurus had puny arms. The purpose of these stunted appendages eludes paleontologists.
