Although its diet remains open for debate, Tupandactylus is generally considered to be a piscivore.

Tupandactylus was originally classified as being part of the Tapejara species. Later studies revealed enough differences to create its own category.

Tupandactylus fossils have only been discovered in Brazil.

Tupandactylus' wingspan can reach up to 5 meters. That's almost double the wingspan of the Albatross, which has the largest wingspan of any living bird.
